When you think LA, your first thought is probably not a cactus, but it is if you came from a specific time and place in LA, the Xicano culture incorporates a lot of cacti, even in the Mexican flag there is an eagle on top of a cactus with a serpent in its mouth, but that is a story for another day, when you think of back before California became a part of the United States, LA is located in what used to be Mexico, just as a reminder on the back embroidered are the words that read "Los Aztlangeles". A clever combination of both the name of the ancient Aztec civilization named Aztlan, and Los Angeles which is the current name of the place we call home, we are getting back to our roots and honoring them with representing the roots to the culture we hold dear to us.
